After ten rounds of group matches, the top two teams in each division are set for the semi-finals.

Duffield took hold of Group A from the outset, and despite a couple of late-season defeats, never looked like relinquishing that grip to claim top spot and a home semi-final.

Opponents Exeter were one of three teams who shared top spot in Group B during the season, finally clinching their semi-final place at the expense of Chichester on a last day decider.

The Crystal ball envisages a 3-2 home win, with Whipp v Barrington the crucial match …

Two-time defending champions Surrey had, by their standards, a slow start, but enjoyed a good run-in which saw them book their place in the last four with a round to go, finishing up comfortably on top. Like Exeter,Oxford had to travel to their nearest rivals on the last day to confirm themselves as runners-up, which they did at the expense of Nottingham.
