PSL kicks off 2012 with Round Five

After the Christmas break the Premier Squash League is back on the menu on Tuesday 10th Jan with five top class matches which mark the halfway point of the season.

After three matches Group A is pretty well spread out with Duffield at the top, Nottingham and Oxford vying for second place and Birmingham  and Pontefract lagging behind.

Still looking for their first win, Pontefract play host to Duffield, and while a bottom v top clash should be easy to predict we all know what happened when Blackburn went to Old Trafford! The Crystal Ball is decidedly murky with some ‘TBC’ still lurking around, but a 4-1 win for the leaders is foreseen.

The winners between Oxford and Nottingham will take a big advantage into the second half’s set of reverse fixtures, and we’re going for the home side to take it 3-2.

In Group B there’s much less in the way of splits in the table, apart from Bristol being marooned at the bottom. They welcome Chichester, who should have enough firepower to go away with a 4-1 win to keep them in the playoff hunt.

Winchester welcome St George’s, who look more than capable of taking the points, but we’ll settle for a 3-2 away win, which leaves a top of the table clash between Surrey and Exeter. CB sees a 4-1 home win which would put Surrey back on top and Exeter looking over their shoulders at St George’s.
